Being yourself means being relaxed, fulfilled and natural. When we feel ourselves we are at our best. We can cope with everything life throws at us. But sometimes we aren’t quite ourselves. We feel out of sorts, as if something isn’t right. And sometimes we need a little help to get back on track.
In the 1920’s and 30’s a noted homeopath and bacteriologist, Dr Edward Bach discovered a complete system of 38 flower remedies that can help us to rediscover the positive side of our nature, gently restoring balance and harmony within the body and helping to dispel negative emotions. Each remedy is associated with a certain emotional state, or personality trait, and by healing the mind, not only leads to happier and healthier lives, but also supports and aids our physical well-being.
In recent years, healers using Dr Bach’s methods have found many more plants to prepare in the same way and the number of flower remedies now available totals several hundred. These newer remedies are often known as ‘flower essences’ and have no connection with the Bach Flower method of healing.
